Fitness Profile

Elaine has been attending fitness classes since the early 1980's and in 1990 she achieved her Fitness Instruction Certification through the YMCA.  Elaine always though that fitness involved sweating and never gave yoga a second thought.  Then, one day she attended a yoga class with a friend.  She realized two things; one - she wasn't very flexible and two - you can sweat doing yoga. In 2013 Elaine took her Yoga Teacher Training and that October she started Happy Buddha Yoga, teaching classes once a week.  Yoga has helped Elaine remain balanced in her busy life, heal from injuries and break old patterns that were no longer serving her.

Fitness Philosophy

Keep active, listen to your body, eat well, rest when you need it and laugh as much as you can, even if it's only at yourself.
